Long story short, these were machined by the lowest bidder (I know) and then coated by my local Cerakote shop while they were going out of business, so the quality is not what I would call “premium”.

Because of all the delays and the overall unsatisfactory aesthetic results, I’m getting rid of these at a huge loss and washing my hands of the whole situation. These will NOT be covered under the standard warranty or returnable. If you break it you will not get a replacement option and simply get a refund once proof of the mount failing is shown.

Functionally these are all good to go, but there will be flaws like machine marks and some over/under spraying so expect that in your mount. Example pics in the gallery.

The Just A Simple Mount (JAS-M) is the first product in our mount series. It perfectly represents what we aim to accomplish with every product: to provide simple, affordable, and reliable accessories made in the USA.

Machined in one solid piece from 6061-T6 aluminum, the JAS-M is incredibly lightweight, weighing in at just around 2.0 ounces with hardware included. The one-piece construction also makes for a rugged design that can handle the hardest of uses.

The finish used is Cerakote's HIR gen 2 coating, which conforms to the MIL-DTL-44436 NIR reflectivity standards. Using Cerakote negates one of the traditional weaknesses of anodized aluminum, which is its shiny appearance under night vision devices.

The JAS-M also uses commonly available M5 nuts and socket cap screws. The mount itself is not threaded, reducing the likelihood of it failing catastrophically. Using standardized M5 hardware also means that repairs can be made quickly in the improbable event of a breakage, and replacement hardware can often be sourced locally.
